Ratey helps UK small businesses check and switch their business energy. Our introducer scheme lets anyone earn commission from home by introducing local businesses they know, such as a café, a shop, a restaurant, an estate agency or an office. It is free to join, you are self-employed, and it is commission only, with no salary, no targets and no set hours. No selling experience is needed.
Join free. Sign the short online partner agreement (you have 14 days to cancel) and get approved. We give you your own link, QR code and ready-made posts to share.
Introduce businesses. Share your link with businesses you know. They upload a recent energy bill, and the Ratey team finds the deal and handles the switch. You never see their bills, and they are never obliged to switch.
Get paid. When the switch goes through and the supplier pays Ratey, your share is added to your dashboard and paid by bank transfer.
You earn 50% of the commission Ratey receives on each business you introduce that switches, capped at £800 per switch. Commission comes from the supplier and depends on the business's energy use and contract. As an illustration only, not a forecast: a small shop using about 8,000 kWh a year might earn you around £80, a café using 20,000 kWh around £300, and a restaurant using 60,000 kWh could reach the £800 cap. Your earnings depend on the introductions you make, and many introducers will earn little or nothing. Commission can be clawed back if the supplier claws it back.
It is illegal for a promoter or a participant in a trading scheme to persuade anyone to make a payment by promising benefits from getting others to join a scheme. Do not be misled by claims that high earnings are easily achieved.
If a partner you invited introduces a business that switches, Ratey pays you an extra 10% of its commission on that switch, out of Ratey's own share, so their earnings are not reduced. You earn nothing just for someone joining. There are only two levels: you and the people you invite.
No. There is nothing to buy, and there are no joining fees, kits, training fees or subscriptions, ever. All money comes from real energy switches that suppliers pay for, and recruiting on its own earns nothing. You are responsible for your own tax; if your trading income goes over £1,000 a year, register with HMRC.
